Release notes
# MPV Manager v1.3.1 This patch fixes uOSC installation and Windows file-association controls reported after v1.3.0. ## Fixes - **uOSC installation:** Accept the reviewed upstream layout, including `fonts/uosc_icons.otf`, `fonts/uosc_textures.ttf`, and the `scripts/uosc/main.lua` entry point. Previously, installation stopped with an “unexpected path” error. Archive traversal, type, size, and unrelated-file checks remain enforced. - **uOSC updates and UI switching:** Include both fonts in staging, transactional replacement, rollback, and removal. Preserve custom uOSC settings and unrelated fonts. Recognize the directory-based uOSC entry point when detecting installed overlays. - **Windows file associations:** Place Install/Remove File Associations on each managed MPV card and send that installation’s ID. The old global buttons sent no ID and failed with “Select an installed MPV app.” Custom installation paths are explicitly identified; removal asks for confirmation. Windows Settings still controls the user’s file-type defaults. - **Windows download cleanup:** Close failed or cancelled downloads before deleting their partial files, and report close failures. - **Windows shortcuts:** Create missing Desktop/Start Menu directories and run the shortcut script with the console script host through the managed command runner, so errors cannot strand an installation behind a Windows Script Host dialog. ## Regression coverage Added current/legacy uOSC layout coverage, font preservation/rollback/removal checks, an opt-in test of the checksum-verified upstream archive, and real-browser checks for installation-specific association controls after card refresh. Corrected Windows configuration test isolation and path encoding, and aligned the invalid-config installation test with pre-commit rejection. ## Downloads and updates Use the download selector at [mpv.rocks/manager](https://mpv.rocks/manager/) or the assets below. Existing MPV Manager installations can update through the app once the signed stable feed advertises v1.3.1. Upstream player/UI versions are unchanged from v1.3.0. The release supports Windows amd64 and arm64, Linux amd64 and arm64, and macOS arm64 and Intel. Windows arm64 remains an open beta without native device/GPU coverage; Intel Mac native coverage is waived. Microsoft Authenticode and Apple Developer ID/notarization remain deferred; signed update manifests use the existing Ed25519 trust chain. ## Complete source changes - [b09e4d8d](https://gitgud.io/mike/mpv-manager/-/commit/b09e4d8d6d583c6711e92ada119536c5b09e1e6e) — Fix uOSC and Windows installation regressions for v1.3.1. [Compare v1.3.0…v1.3.1](https://gitgud.io/mike/mpv-manager/-/compare/v1.3.0...v1.3.1). ## Release verification and download delivery [Protected pipeline156034](https://gitgud.io/mike/mpv-manager/-/pipelines/156034) passed all23 jobs. The reported uOSC and association regressions were verified interactively on Windows, including the exact published binary. Default/custom installation, shortcuts, UI switching, updates, uninstall/reinstall and configuration preservation passed. Native v1.3.0-to-v1.3.1 updates installed the exact CI bytes on Windows amd64, macOS arm64, Linux amd64 and Linux arm64 under QEMU, preserving custom profiles. Mac patch browser checks used native headless Vivaldi because its console was locked; no fresh Mac desktop visual qualification is claimed. Architecture coverage limits above remain. All six archives and raw executables on [ggdl](https://ggdl.io/mike/mpv-manager/releases/v1.3.1/) match the immutable release artifacts. A separately reviewed, Ed25519-signed delivery refresh points the live updater feed to ggdl after native checks reproduced very slow GitGud downloads with Go’s HTTP/2 user agent. Executable hashes and versions are unchanged. The original package manifest remains immutable; the [live stable feed](https://mpv.rocks/api/releases/stable.json) and [refresh review](https://mpv.rocks/api/releases/qa-evidence/v1.3.1/mirror-refresh-review.json) document current delivery. The website advertises v1.3.1 and passes26 live browser download/version/platform cases, including failed-API fallback.
